Be a Volunteer for AiM 2017!

Why?! 

You may be a part of the African Diaspora,

and/or have desire to experience (lost) classics and contemporary African culture through film,

you might be a film student - or a passionate cinema goer,

one that seeks out things that have ‘never been seen before’ (in Scotland),

you might love goodie bags, networking, badges and free access to screenings,

Or you enjoy new experiences and want to be a part of something that is happening in these cities (Glasgow and Edinburgh),

and you love meeting new people? and are friendly and approachable?

! Well listen up lovely person !

Africa in Motion runs because volunteers are at the heart of it. We offer volunteer and internship opportunities, networking contacts, parties and events and of course a plethora of excellent films that you can not see anywhere else in Scotland! We will also cover your travel/meals up to £10 per day.

This year the festival will undertake journeys across the continent and beyond, looking at both African and Black identities globally. Strands include:

  • Afro Latino (in)visibility
  • Reviving Scotland's Black History
  • African Lost Classics

We are committed to supporting you with what you wish to get out of working with us. You can let us know in the interview what you would like to gain from this year’s festival and we can see how we can accommodate your interests.

The application deadline is Wednesday 27 September 2017.

Interviews (week beginning 2nd of October)
Inductions (week beginning 16th of October) 

The festival will run from the 27 October until 5 November 2017.
